About Us

Georgica was founded by Tamer Amr, who began his career in property management in New York and worked in construction in London before moving to Switzerland in 1997. With over two and a half decades of experience in real estate and financial services, Tamer Amr holds board positions in numerous real estate vehicles, including ARB in Berlin, DMI Finance in India, and the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX. Formerly he was the CEO of WTF Real Estate, a CHF 1.2 billion joint venture between Lehman Brothers and PSP  in Zürich. Tamer holds a BA magna cum laude from Amherst College and an MBA from INSEAD.


Yang Zhao joined Georgica in 2019 as the firm’s head of investment, where he is responsible for full project life cycle from acquisition underwriting through to the active asset management and implementation of the business plan. Previously Yang co-developed the  Zurich branch for m3 Real Estate and he began his career at UBS Asset Management and Credit Suisse Private Banking. Yang holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master in Accounting and Finance from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland. He became a CAIA Charterholder in 2016.
